School Leadership
Principal
Casey Jeannot became principal of Hazel Valley Elementary School in 2014. She has worked in Highline Public Schools since 2002, serving in a number of leadership roles at Southern Heights Elementary, Hilltop Elementary, Cedarhurst Elementary and Marvista Elementary. Casey holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Arizona State University, a Master of Education in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, and a Washington State Principal’s Residency Certificate from Western Washington University.
Assistant Principal
Tamasha Emedi-Frye began her teaching career at Bow Lake Elementary teaching 1st grade, and most recently she taught at Hazel Valley Elementary. She is grateful to continue her growth with the district she was planted in. Mrs. Emedi-Frye has Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Gonzaga University and a Master’s of Education from Washington State University. Her biggest professional accomplishment is being a founding member of Educators of Color Leadership Community through Puget Sound Educational Service District. In her downtime Mrs. Emedi-Frye loves to game. She has several video game devices and many table top games.
