A Note From School Leaders
Your next Semana Acabada will be coming early next week as we are closed Thursday and Friday. This week, we want to shout out art Friday! What a fun time! Please scroll down to give your feedback and learn all about library book pick up coming up soon. Here's a sneak peak about how Avispones en Autos will work in December. Another thing to keep an eye out for is Report Cards. These will be coming to you in the mail by December 5th. Your report card will have a cover sheet explaining the academic standards our teachers will be focused on this year, some information about programs your child receives, and a written update from the teachers about your child's progress. We'll see you at the Asamblea de Avispones next week with more exciting things to share!
A Note from ArtsCorps
A Note from Our Librarian
Hello families, I am super excited to announce that we will now have curbside check out for library books. Students can return and pick up their books during Avispones en Autos. Students also participated in Art Friday with Ms. Carina. Below you will find the link to check out books as well as some pictures of the beautiful prints students made. Please continue to encourage your student to read using books, magazines, our virtual library, King County Library System, iReady or Raz Kids. As always if you have any questions, would like to collaborate on a read aloud or would like to recommend a book, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Have a great week! You can access directions for checking out books in Spanish and English here. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1fhuR3GTm8AOEN7hsPIF06AXSD1DyfU1e_fak2U3M2UI/edit?usp=sharing
A Note from Our Music Teachers
This week, students have begun our unit on music theory! Music notation has been our area of focus. Students are practicing essential skills such as music literacy and fluency. In addition, students are learning to read and write rhythms using quarter notes and eighth notes.
A Note from Our PE Teachers
During PE, students learned about the importance of sleep along with some tips to get a good nights rest. Students in grades 2-5 worked on juggling skills. Keep a look out in the virtual gymnasium for more juggling lessons. Practice, practice, practice! K-1 classes worked on animal movements/tossing & catching skills. Great job, Hornets!
